Abby and Brady had the most Romantic North Carolina Wedding at the Boxwood Estate in April of 2025 surrounded by their wedding party and closest friends and family. They had a very classically elegant color palette full of blues and greens and whites, every detail was carefully thought of and super unique.

Boxwood Estate in Mocksville, North Carolina is the kind of wedding venue that invites you to slow down and truly experience your day. Tucked away among rolling fields and mature trees, it offers an effortless flow from quiet, meaningful moments to joyful celebration. As a documentary-style wedding photographer, I love how Boxwood Estate allows couples to stay fully present—giving space for real laughter, unplanned moments, and genuine connection to unfold naturally. Its open spaces and thoughtful layout create a wedding day that flows naturally. One of the meaningful traditions couples often embrace here is burying the bourbon, tucked into the landscape days before the wedding—a quiet promise of good weather and a calm start to the celebration.

As the day moved from ceremony to celebration, Boxwood Estate held everything together with an understated elegance. Spring light lingered well into the evening, allowing the story of the day to unfold without interruption. For couples who want their wedding to feel genuine and unhurried—focused less on posing and more on experiencing—this classic North Carolina venue offers the perfect backdrop for a wedding that’s truly lived, not just photographed
Abby and Brady’s reception at Boxwood Estate felt like a true extension of the day—effortless, joyful, and full of movement. Beneath a clear tent, the evening unfolded with a candlelit dinner that glowed as the sun faded, a live band filling the space with energy and drawing guests onto the dance floor between courses. Later, guests wandered out for scoops from an ice cream dessert cart, laughter spilling into the night air, before the celebration reached its final, unforgettable moment: a burst of confetti under the tent as the band played on. It was the kind of ending that didn’t feel staged, just fully lived—perfectly reflecting Abby and Brady’s desire to celebrate without rushing, soaking in every last second together.A
